Handmade Premium packaging design
Handmade Premium packaging design
Harbor Creative Studio develops brand identities and packaging for premium products. Each project is drawn from scratch around the client: their story, their market and how the product is actually made, followed closely from concept to print.

Original artwork that tells the brand's story through symbolism and classical composition, considered down to the smallest detail.
Packaging that fits the client's production reality, from the printer they can access to the scale they produce at, followed through to the final proof.
Naming, symbol and identity grown from the client's own history, built to work at every scale the brand will reach.
Letterforms sketched by hand, then refined into vector and tested at every size the brand will print.

Creative Process, Methodology and Approach
One method, adapted to every project.
The project starts by mapping the story, the product and its constraints: who it is for, where it sells and how it will be produced.
Narrative, phases, deliverables, timeline and cost, set out in a written plan. Work starts once it is approved.
Research and moodboard, then sketches, painting and hand-drawn lettering. Each stage is posted to a shared board as the work develops.
Final files prepared for each dieline and printer, with support on suppliers, proofs and adjustments through to production.
Six things you can count on.

Messages, calls or email straight to the designer, weekends included during active work. No account managers in between.

Information is exchanged throughout the process, so direction is set early and rework is rare. No billed rounds.

Every sketch and update is posted to a shared board, open to the client at any time. Finals are archived in a dedicated Drive folder.

Supplier search, specs, proofs and on-press adjustments. The design has to survive the factory.

Some studios keep the editable originals, or charge to release them. Here, source files and full usage rights transfer on final payment.

Installments and payment methods agreed per project. Every invoice is issued by Harbor Creative Studio, LLC, registered in the US.
Timelines, budget, rights and production.
A short call or a written brief. Then a proposal: overview, method, a phased roadmap with deliverables, timeline and hours, payment and conditions. Work starts as soon as the written proposal is approved, and a shared project board (Trello) opens where every stage can be followed live.
✦ ProcessThree to four weeks for most projects, counted from the approved proposal, plus a small buffer for intricate detail or delayed feedback. Full identities with multiple pieces can take up to twelve weeks.
✦ ProcessNo fixed cap while concepts and rendering are in progress. Work runs in sync with the client, through direct messages and calls, so direction is set early and rework is rare. Feedback gathered and sent by one person on the client’s side keeps the work moving.
✦ ProcessMost projects range from €1,500 to €7,000 (or USD equivalent), with larger scopes quoted separately. The exact price comes in a written proposal after the call, broken into phases, deliverables and hours.
✦ BudgetInstallments and payment methods are agreed per client. Invoices are issued by Harbor Creative Studio, LLC, a US-registered company, and international payments go through Wise.
✦ BudgetYou do. Full usage rights and all source files transfer on final payment. Harbor keeps the right to show the work and its sketches in the portfolio.
✦ ProcessPrinting, manufacturing, third-party font licences, trademark registration and shipping. Extra deliverables outside the agreed scope get their own estimate.
✦ RightsYes. Finding suppliers, adapting files with your printer, the technical back-and-forth and on-press adjustments. Final proofing before mass printing is on your side.
✦ ProductionYes. A single label or band gets the same process as a full system: a call, a written plan, and the work carried through to print.
✦ ProcessYes. New products, label refreshes and rebrands start from what already exists, keeping what works and developing what doesn’t.
✦ ProcessA call or an email, both answered directly.
The best projects start with a good conversation. Bring questions, loose ideas or half-made plans, and the project takes shape together from there. After the call, the brief and every document that follows are prepared on the studio’s side.
